Find the mean of the factors of 24.
Solution :
Various factors of 24 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24.
Mean,
\(\bar{x}\) = Sum of all observations / Total number of observations
= \(\frac{1+2+3+4+6+8+12+24}{8}\)
= \(\frac{60}{8}=\frac{15}{2}\) = 7.5

Find the range of the given data: 25.7, 16.3, 2.8, 21.7, 24.3, 22.7 and 24.9
Solution :
Range of the data = Highest value – Lowest value = 25.7 – 2.8 = 22.9
