Then they befool them easily with their confidence and tricks. Mr Natwarlal is such a person from real life. He has cheated hundreds of people. Then he was caught and put into jail. Yes I remember one such incident. A man came to a woman who lived in our neighbourhood. He told her that he could double her gold bangles with the help of his supernatural power. At that time she was wearing four gold bangles.
He said that he would turn them into eight gold bangles. He was carrying a bag. The woman gave him the bangles. Then he asked her to fetch a glass of water for him. When she returned with water, he gave her eight gold bangles. She was overjoyed. He charged only five hundred rupees for that ‘great’ service. In the evening, when her husband came, she showed him hereight ‘gold’ bangles. Her husband got suspicious. They got the bangles checked and found that all the eight bangles were made of brass. Now they understood his trick. When the woman had gone to fetch water, he had replaced the four gold bangles with eight brass bangles which he was carrying in his bag.

The narrator came to know better about the town. Then they got down from the hill top. Bill told the narrator that Lutkins would have gone to his mother’s farmhouse three kilometres away in the north. He said that his mother was a terror. He narrated him his experience with Lutkins mother. They reached there and inquired Lutkins’ mother about his whereabouts. She ran after them with an iron rod in her hand.
